Prayer for Discernment

Lord of Light and Darkness,

As we meditate upon Genesis 1:4, where You saw the light, deemed it good, and separated it from the darkness, we are reminded of Your sovereign authority over all creation. You discern between light and dark, shaping order from chaos.

In our lives, grant us the wisdom to recognize the light from the dark, the good from the bad. Help us to embrace the light of Your truth and to separate ourselves from the shadows of misunderstanding and sin. Guide us in making choices that reflect Your goodness and align with Your divine will.

Strengthen us with Your Spirit to be agents of light in a world that often wanders in darkness. May our words and actions contribute to a clearer, brighter world, just as You intended from the beginning.

We thank You for Your everlasting light, and we ask these things in the name of Jesus, who said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
