6 O Lord, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long?
4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
Prayer :
Heavenly Father,
In humility, I come before You, acknowledging my weakness and seeking Your mercy. O Lord, do not rebuke me in anger, nor chasten me in hot displeasure. Have compassion on me, for I am weary and troubled.
My soul is vexed, and I cry out to You, O Lord. How long, Lord, will I endure this distress? Hear my prayer, and in Your boundless mercy, heal me. Deliver my soul, O Lord, and save me for the sake of Your unfailing love.
In moments of sorrow, my tears are my offering, and my groans fill the night. My heart is burdened, and my strength wanes, but I find solace in Your promise to hear the voice of my weeping.
Lord, turn away the workers of iniquity and grant me peace. Let Your presence be a balm for my weary soul. I trust in Your faithfulness, and I believe that You hear my supplications.
I pray, O Lord, that my enemies may be put to shame, and may they be suddenly confounded. I place my trust in Your mercy and lift my eyes to You, the source of my strength and salvation.
In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen.
