Prayer - First things First

Heavenly Father,

In the quiet spaces of my heart, I come before You, reflecting on the things I've held dear, the vanities that once whispered seductively. As I consider the allure of riches, fame, and the fleeting pleasures they promise, I recognize their inability to satisfy the deepest longings of my soul. I lay before You my vulnerabilities, acknowledging that my soul is of immeasurable value.

I don't want to love what the world loves. I don't want to chase after the empty pursuits that captivate the world. Instead, I declare with sincerity, "I only want You."

Lord, as I navigate the complexities of life, I acknowledge that seeking Your will is paramount. Help me surrender my wants, my desires, at Your feet. In the rhythm of seeking Your will first, may Your truth illuminate my path. Guide me to walk in Your ways, fixing my gaze upon You, the source of unwavering truth.

In this journey, I reverse my desires, turning away from the transient allure of the world. I offer my life as an offering, my heart as a vessel for Your purposes. May Your kingdom be the primary pursuit of my existence.

First things first—I seek Your will, not my own. In surrender, I yield my desires to You. Your truth becomes my guiding light, and I fix my face upon You. All my desires are reversed to keep the first thing first.

I give it all, Lord—an offering, a surrender. My life is Yours, and I invite You to have Your way in me. Your kingdom is all I long to seek. In a world of fleeting attractions, I declare once more: "I only want You."
