Psalm 3

3 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. 


Prayer :

Abba Father,

In the midst of challenges and adversaries, we come before You, recognizing that You are our shield and the lifter of our heads. When troubles surround us, and voices of doubt seek to undermine our trust in You, we turn our hearts towards Your unfailing love and strength.

Lord, we acknowledge that our help comes from You alone. You are our refuge and our source of courage. Even when faced with numerous challenges, we declare that You, O Lord, are greater than any opposition we may encounter.

As the psalmist cried out to You and found comfort, we too lift our voices in prayer. Hear us from Your holy hill, O Lord, and sustain us with Your presence and grace. In moments of rest and sleep, may we find peace, knowing that You are watching over us.

We choose not to be afraid, for You are with us. Despite the multitude of challenges that may surround us, we trust in Your deliverance. Arise, O Lord, and save us from the troubles that seek to overwhelm us.

We thank You, Lord, for the assurance that salvation belongs to You, and Your blessings rest upon Your people. May Your grace and favor be upon us as we navigate the journey of life.
