Psalm 12

12 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Prayer :

Abba Father, in a world where faithfulness seems to be in short supply and honesty is scarce, we turn to you, the unchanging and faithful God. Help us, O Lord, for the trustworthy seem to have vanished, and deceit abounds.

May your truth prevail over the lies that are spoken, and may you silence the flattering lips that harbour deception. We pray that you would guard our hearts against the allure of false promises and manipulative words.

Lord, arise on behalf of the poor and the needy who are often exploited and oppressed. Protect them from those who would harm and malign them. Your words are flawless, and we find refuge in your promises that are as pure as silver refined in a crucible.

You, Lord, are the defender of the needy and the protector of the oppressed. Keep us safe from the schemes of the wicked, and may justice prevail in a world where what is vile is sometimes honored. Help us to stand firm in your truth and to live with integrity in all that we do.

In the name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.

Psalm 13

13 How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Prayer:

Abba Father,

In moments of despair, I come before you with a heart heavy with questions and sorrows. How long, O Lord, will you forget me? How long will my soul wrestle with thoughts that seem to lead to darkness? It feels as though sorrow has become a constant companion.

I cry out to you, Lord, asking you to look upon me and answer. Bring light to my eyes, that I may not be overcome by the shadows of despair. Do not let my enemies triumph over me, and do not allow my foes to rejoice in my fall.

Yet, in the midst of my troubles, I choose to trust in your unfailing love. My heart finds joy in the assurance of your salvation. I lift my voice in praise, for you have been good to me, and I know that your mercy endures forever.

Lord, be my strength in times of weakness, my light in the darkness, and my source of hope when all seems lost. In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

Prayer - Manger Throne

Prayer

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus

In the presence of Your majesty, my heart swells with an overwhelming  gratitude, a cascade of emotion stirred by the profound love and deliberate choices You've made for me. The very idea that You, in all Your resplendent glory, could have unveiled Your might in a grand display of fire and splendor, and yet, You chose the quiet path of meekness, leaves me utterly humbled.

Oh, Sovereign King, whose throne is a manger, my soul bursts forth in powerful thanksgiving. You deliberately chose the unassuming backdrop of Bethlehem, cradling Your divinity in the warmth of common humanity. Your story, a saga of redemption, is an indescribable gift, a treasure beyond measure.

As I traverse the sacred journey from the vast expanse of heaven to the humble cradle and onward to the victorious cross, my spirit resonates with emotion. Heaven and nature, in harmonious unity, echo praises for our King. The grave, unable to contain Your glory, witnessed Your triumphant emergence, and I joyfully proclaim, "This is my King!"

All hail the King, who, in the quiet strength that resonates with  authority, conquered the mightiest challenges. Glory be to You alone, my Savior and Redeemer. My life, my praises, the entirety of my being, I lay before Jesus, the King on a manger throne.

May the intense love and grace that define my personal journey of faith be a blazing light, guiding me ever closer to You. With a heart ablaze in profound gratitude, I declare the awe-inspiring glory of my King to every corner of my world.

In Jesus name and with a heart aflame, I pray. Amen.

Prayer - Light Of The World (Sing Hallelujah)

Prayer

Abba Father,

Light of the World, treasure of Heaven, we come before you with hearts filled with gratitude and awe. In the brilliance of Your presence, we find joy that surpasses understanding, like stars shining in the wintery sky.

We thank You, Joy of the Father, for reaching through the darkness and shining across the earth. Your light dispels the shadows, and we are overwhelmed by Your love. From the beginning, the tragedies of time were no match for Your boundless love. From great heights of glory, You saw our stories, entered into our lives, and became one of us.

Hallelujah, we sing! Hallelujah for the things You have done! We adore You, and we bow down before You, the Light of the World. You are the crown in the manger, born for the Cross, to suffer and to save. High King of Heaven, death is now poorer, and we are richer by the price You paid.

As we lift our voices in praise, we declare that You are the Light that lights up the dark. Soon, You will come again with fire in Your eyes, to ransom Your own. We eagerly await the day when, through clouds, You will lead us straight into glory, and there You shall reign forevermore.

Hallelujah, Light of the World! We sing with hearts full of gratitude, awe, and love. May our lives reflect the radiance of Your light in every moment.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen!

Psalm 11

11 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Prayer:

Abba Father, in the midst of challenges and uncertainties, I turn to you as my refuge and strength. When the world around me seems to crumble, and the foundations are shaken, I place my trust in your unwavering presence.

Lord, there are moments when it feels as though the wicked prevail, and arrows of trouble are aimed at the upright. Yet, I know that you are on your heavenly throne, and your eyes see all that happens on earth. You are a God of justice, and you hate violence and wickedness.

I pray for the righteous and the upright in heart, that they may find strength and courage in you. Protect them from the schemes of the wicked, and may they feel your presence in the midst of adversity.

Lord, let your righteousness prevail. May your justice be a beacon of hope in a world that sometimes seems dark. For you are a God who loves justice, and the upright will one day see your face.

In times of trouble, help me to stand firm in my faith, knowing that you are with me. May your peace that surpasses all understanding guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I offer this Prayer in the name Jesus, Amen.

Prayer - Gratitude

Abba Father,

As I stand before You, my heart swells with gratitude that transcends my feeble words. How can I express the depths of thankfulness for Your unending grace and boundless love? In the quiet of my soul, I find myself echoing the lyrics of this song:

"All my words fall short I got nothing new How could I express All my gratitude?"

Indeed, my words falter in the vastness of Your goodness, and I am left with nothing but a humble heart, ready to sing praises to You. With arms lifted high, I offer You my worship, knowing that You alone are worthy.

"So I throw up my hands And praise You again and again 'Cause all that I have is a hallelujah Hallelujah"

In the simplicity of my praise, I surrender all that I am to You. My gratitude finds its expression in the repeated refrain of "hallelujah," a melody that echoes through the chambers of my heart.

"And I know it's not much But I've nothing else fit for a King Except for a heart singing hallelujah Hallelujah"

I recognize the inadequacy of my offering, yet, with a heart full of love, I present to You my sincere "hallelujah." It is not much, but it is all I have—a heartfelt response to Your majesty.

"So come on, my soul Oh, don't you get shy on me Lift up your song 'Cause you've got a lion inside of those lungs Get up and praise the Lord"

Encourage my soul, Lord, not to shy away from expressing the gratitude that wells up within. Let my song rise, for within the depths of my being, a lion—the Spirit You placed within me—roars with praises. Empower me to rise and praise the Lord with all that I am.

In the chorus of this gratitude, I lift my voice with the psalmist:

"Praise the Lord Praise the Lord Praise the Lord"

For all that I have, all that I am, and all that I ever will be, I praise You, O Lord. My heart sings a resounding "hallelujah."

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.
