 A Prayer Over Psalm 1

Heavenly Father,
We come before You, thanking You for the wisdom and truth revealed in Your Word. Lord, help us to be like the blessed man in Psalm 1—one who does not walk in step with the wicked, stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the company of mockers. Guard our hearts, Lord, that we may reject paths of unrighteousness and walk closely with You.

Plant within us a deep love for Your Word. May we delight in Your law and meditate on it day and night. Let Your truth guide our every step, shaping our choices and decisions. Lord, root us firmly like trees planted by streams of water. Nourish our spirits, so we may bear fruit in season and never wither in faith, even in the face of trials.

Grant us the blessing of prosperity—not in worldly wealth, but in the richness of Your presence, the joy of Your salvation, and the strength to fulfill Your purpose for our lives. Protect us, Lord, from the fate of the wicked, who are blown away like chaff. May we always stand in the assembly of the righteous and find favor in Your sight.

Lord, You watch over the way of the righteous. Help us to walk this path with steadfast faith, knowing that Your hand guides and sustains us. Thank You for Your mercy, love, and the assurance of eternal life with You.
