Psalm 36

1 The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

5 Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

Prayer :

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, as I come before You, I acknowledge the truth spoken in my heart about the transgression of the wicked, for there is no fear of You before their eyes. They flatter themselves in their own eyes until their iniquity becomes hateful. Their words are filled with iniquity and deceit; they have forsaken wisdom and goodness. They devise mischief and set themselves in ways that are not good, not abhorring evil.

But, O Lord, I lift my eyes to You, for Your mercy reaches to the heavens, and Your faithfulness extends to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains, and Your judgments are a great deep. You preserve both man and beast. How excellent is Your lovingkindness, and the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

Satisfy us abundantly with the fatness of Your house, and make us drink from the river of Your pleasures. With You is the fountain of life, and in Your light, we see light.

Continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, and let Your righteousness be the guide for the upright in heart. Guard us against the foot of pride and the hand of the wicked. May the workers of iniquity fall, and may they not be able to rise.

We trust in Your unfailing love, and we seek refuge under the shelter of Your wings. Thank you for being our source of life and light. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Amen.

Psalm 35

1 Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. 3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. 4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. 5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them. 6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them. 7 For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. 8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. 9 And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation. 10 All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him? 11 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. 12 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. 13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. 14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. 15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: 16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth. 17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. 18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. 19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. 20 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. 21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. 22 This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. 23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. 24 Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. 25 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. 26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. 27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. 28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long. Prayer :

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You, pleading my cause, O Lord, against those who strive against me. Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, stand up for my help. Draw out the spear and stop the way against those who persecute me. Speak to my soul, saying, "I am thy salvation."

Confound and put to shame those who seek after my soul. Turn them back and bring confusion to those who devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let Your angel chase them. May their way be dark and slippery, and let Your angel persecute them.

They have set a net for me without cause, and they dig pits for my soul without reason. Let destruction come upon them unawares, and let their own nets catch them. Let them fall into the very destruction they have planned for me.

But as for me, I will be joyful in You, Lord. I will rejoice in Your salvation. My bones declare, "Lord, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?"

Though false witnesses rise up against me and charge me with things I know not, let my soul be joyful in You. I humbled myself with fasting and prayer. Even when they were sick, I mourned for them as for a friend or brother. Yet, in my adversity, they rejoiced against me.

Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my precious one from the lions. I will give thanks in the great congregation and praise You among many people.

Let not my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me, and do not let them that hate me without cause wink with their eye. They speak not peace, but they devise deceitful matters against those who are quiet in the land.

O Lord, You have seen these things. Keep not silence. Be not far from me. Stir up Yourself, awake to my judgment, O my God and my Lord.

Judge me according to Your righteousness, and let not my enemies rejoice over me. Do not let them say, "Ah, so would we have it!" Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion who rejoice at my hurt. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.

Let those who favor my righteous cause shout for joy and be glad. May they continually say, "Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and praise all the day long.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

Psalm 37

1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. 10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. 12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. 13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. 15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. 16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. 17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. 18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. 19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. 21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. 22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth, and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. 25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. 27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell forevermore. 28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved forever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever. 30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. 32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. 34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. 35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. 36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. 37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. 38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. Prayer:

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You, mindful of the words of Psalm 37. In a world where evildoers seem to prosper, I choose not to fret, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. Help me to trust in You and do good, that I may dwell in Your land and be fed by Your provision.

Lord, I delight in You, seeking to align my desires with Your heart. I commit my ways to You, trusting that You will bring them to pass. May my righteousness shine like the light, and my justice be as the noonday, reflecting Your glory.

In the midst of challenges, I choose to rest in You, waiting patiently for Your guidance. Grant me the grace to cease from anger and forsake wrath. Keep me from doing evil and help me to maintain a heart of peace.

I trust that evildoers will be cut off, and those who wait upon You will inherit the earth. May I be counted among the meek who delight in the abundance of peace. Lord, I lift up those who plot against the just, asking for Your protection and justice.

As I navigate life's journey, order my steps, and uphold me with Your hand when I stumble. Your faithfulness has been constant throughout generations, and I take refuge in the assurance that the righteous will not be forsaken.

Lord, help me to depart from evil and do good, dwelling in Your presence forevermore. I wait on You, keeping Your way, knowing that You will exalt me in Your perfect timing.

In times of trouble, be my strength and deliverer. Save me from the influence of the wicked, and let Your salvation be my shield. I place my trust in You, for You alone are worthy.

In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

Psalm 34

1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. 4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. 9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. 11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord. 12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. 14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. 15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. 16 The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. 17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. 20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. 21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. 22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. Prayer :

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You with hearts full of praise and gratitude. We bless Your holy name at all times; may Your praise continually be on our lips. Our souls boast in You, Lord, for You are our refuge and strength. We declare Your greatness, and we invite others to join us in exalting Your name.

We have sought You, Lord, and You have heard us. You have delivered us from our fears, and in times of trouble, You have been our salvation. We thank You for the assurance that those who look to You are radiant, and their faces are not covered with shame.

We acknowledge Your protection, as the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear You. We taste and see that You are good, and we are blessed as we put our trust in You. We fear You, Lord, and we know that in reverent awe, there is no lack for those who seek You.

We heed Your wisdom and instruction, keeping our tongues from evil and our lips from deceit. We turn away from evil and actively pursue peace. Your eyes are on the righteous, and Your ears are attentive to their cries.

In times of trouble, we cry out, and we are confident that You hear us. We thank You for your nearness to the brokenhearted and Your salvation for the contrite in spirit. Though afflictions may come, we trust in Your promise to deliver us from them all.

Lord, protect and keep us, for evil shall not prevail. We take refuge in You, knowing that You redeem the souls of Your servants. None who trust in You will be left desolate.

In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray.

Amen.

Psalm 33

1 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. 2 Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. 4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. 5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. 6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. 13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. 14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. 15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. 16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. 17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. Prayer :

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you with hearts full of gratitude and praise. We rejoice in You, O Lord, for you are righteous and deserving of all our praise. We lift our voices and instruments to sing a new song to You, for Your word is right, and all Your works are done in truth.

You, Lord, are the creator of heaven and earth. By Your word, the heavens were made, and by the breath of Your mouth, all the host of them. The earth is full of Your goodness, and we stand in awe of Your mighty deeds.

We acknowledge that Your counsel stands forever, and Your thoughts are for all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and we are grateful to be counted among the people whom You have chosen for Your own inheritance.

May we always fear You, Lord, and trust in Your mercy. Look upon us from heaven, and fashion our hearts according to Your will. We recognize that our strength alone cannot save us, but our hope is in You, the one who delivers souls from death and keeps us alive in times of famine.

We wait for You, O Lord, for You are our help and our shield. Our hearts rejoice in You, and we put our trust in Your holy name. Let Your mercy be upon us, O Lord, according to our hope in You.

In Jesus' name, we pray.

Amen.

Psalm 32

1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. 3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord, and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. 6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. 7 Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. 8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. 9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. 10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about. 11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. Prayer : Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, blessed are You, the forgiver of transgressions and the coverer of sins. Today, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for Your mercy and forgiveness. In Your grace, You have imputed no iniquity upon me, and in Your Spirit, there is no deceit.

In moments of silence, my soul grew weary, burdened by the weight of unconfessed sin. Day and night, Your hand pressed upon me, and my vitality withered like the drought of summer. But, Lord, I choose not to hide my iniquities. I confess my sins to You, acknowledging my need for Your forgiveness.

Thank You for the promise of forgiveness and restoration. You, Lord, are my hiding place, preserving me from trouble and surrounding me with songs of deliverance. In times of trial, may I find solace and strength in Your presence.

I seek Your guidance, Lord. Instruct me, teach me, and lead me in the way I should go. Guide me with Your watchful eye, that I may walk in the paths of righteousness.

Help me not to be like a horse or mule without understanding, needing bit and bridle to be controlled. Instead, let me willingly yield to Your gentle guidance, trusting in Your wisdom.

I place my trust in You, knowing that Your mercy surrounds those who trust in the Lord. May I be filled with joy, gladness, and righteousness. Rejoice in my heart, O Lord, and let there be shouts of joy for the uprightness within me.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.

Amen.

Prayer for heart that is heavy laden

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, my heart weighs heavy with the burdens of this world, and I am reminded of Your comforting words that call upon those who are laden and weary to seek You for rest. I humbly come before You, knowing that in Your presence, I can lay down all my troubles, and You will make my load light.

Lord, I trust in Your promise that when we ask, we shall receive; when we seek, we will find; and when we knock, the door will be opened unto us. Your grace is abundant, and Your mercy knows no bounds.

I acknowledge that You choose whom to bless and show mercy to, for You are no respecter of man. Your goodness envelops all, and in You, there is no darkness. You demand our full commitment, our entire lives, and our unwavering dedication to You and You alone.

In Your loving discipline, You chasten those You love, guiding us away from iniquities and transforming our sorrows into blessings. Through Your righteousness, we find abundant life, and for this, we offer a resounding Hallelujah!

Thank you, Lord, for being our refuge, our strength, and the source of eternal hope. May Your light shine upon us, and may we continually seek Your presence in all aspects of our lives. In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.
